Garrard Watch Service & Repair in the UK
Garrard watches hold a special place in British horological history, renowned for their association with royalty and their beautiful, high-quality craftsmanship. As the original manufacturer no longer offers repair services (and often directs customers to the British Horological Institute for accredited expertise), these significant timepieces require the unique skill, historical knowledge, and sensitive approach of a true restoration expert.
At W.E. Clark Watch Repairs, our Master Watchmaker’s workshop is perfectly equipped to take on the restoration and meticulous repair of your cherished Garrard watch.
All Garrard work is handled by our expert team and is directly overseen by our Master Watchmaker, with support from our BHI Accredited Watchmaker, ensuring your timepiece receives an endorsed level of specialist care.

When a watch brand’s service network closes, the key to its continued life lies with independent specialists who possess the necessary historical context and technical prowess. We offer a distinctive service tailored specifically to the needs of vintage Garrard movements and cases.
Our focus is on comprehensive restoration. We specialise in identifying and overcoming the challenges presented by movements where parts are no longer manufactured, ensuring your Garrard remains authentic and functional.
We understand that a Garrard watch is not just a timekeeper—it is a piece of history. Our approach is always to restore using traditional methods and replacement parts sympathetic to the original era, rather than simply replacing components.
Comprehensive Garrard Repair services include:
- Vintage movement overhaul and servicing including complete disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning of all components. The movement is inspected, worn parts are replaced or repaired as needed, and the watch is reassembled, lubricated, timed, and tested. Full watch servicing is recommended every 4-5 years.
- Dial restoration and repair, including re-luming – We can replace damaged dials or restore vintage dials with precision.
- Case and bracelet restoration and refinishing – This restores the aesthetic condition by polishing, buffing, and refinishing to remove marks and scratches while maintaining sharp lines and edges.
- Bracelet and strap repair or replacement – Whether it’s a modern bracelet or a vintage strap, we provide professional restoration and refinishing to restore its original look and feel.
- Glass replacement – Replacement of Acrylic, mineral, or sapphire, strictly following your watch’s original specification.
- Quartz watch repair, servicing, and movement replacement – We offer specialised quartz movement repair to ensure lasting precision.
